Moon Witch Suncatcher Gothic Window Hanging For Halloween Decoration

The moon came with chandeliers.

A witch sits in the curve of a large crescent moon, knees up, one heeled boot crossed over the other. Her dress is deep teal with gold embroidery and rows of red and amber stones set into the bodice and the leggings; the wide black hat has a tall bent point and a cluster of pale roses on the brim. She holds a broom whose handle curls into a bronze scroll.

From the upper horn of the moon hang strands of faceted drops — citrine yellow, garnet red, amethyst purple — swinging on fine chains like a small chandelier. The moon itself is worked with grey-green filigree and clouds.

The hanging jewels are printed, not real, but they catch the eye in a lit window all the same. It suits a bedroom, a dressing corner or a stairwell, and makes a good gift for someone whose version of witchy runs to velvet and jewellery rather than bones and cobwebs.
