A witch in a long teal-green dress and matching wide hat stands with her broom, head bowed, sweeping the floor of a dark stone hearth room. The fireplace behind her is alive, real flame colour and the only warm note in the piece, and a heavy black cauldron marked with a knotwork ring sits on the hearthstone in front of it. Ivy and green leaves crowd the entire rim of the disc, and a triquetra inside a circle is set at the top and bottom like a seal. Everything else is slate, moss and pewter.
The flame in the hearth is the only bright thing on an otherwise smoky panel, and none of the leafwork stands up from the surface. Pre-drilled holes let it hang straight off a cup hook.
This is the green-witch end of the shelf: a kitchen wall, a herb corner, the space above the stove. Give it to the person who dries bundles over the sink and takes Imbolc cleaning seriously.
