He owns this lamp post.

An owl covered in paisley and jewel patterns, teal and rust and gold, grips the top of a black lamp post. Every feather is drawn as its own ornament, right down to the curled tufts above his eyes. Beside him a Victorian street lantern glows warm yellow, hung with holly, red berries and a row of icicles, its ironwork scrolled at the top.

The pair sit on clear glass with nothing printed behind them, so the branch or window shows through the whole background. The design goes on flat, and the rim is bevelled.

That open background makes it a window piece as much as a tree one. The holly keeps it right for the whole of December. A gift for anyone who collects owls or holds wisdom as their word for the year. Glass, so hang it high.

Returns & guarantee

If it is not what we showed you. Damaged, the wrong item, or materially different from the photographs — tell us within 30 days of delivery. One email and one clear photo is enough to start. You choose a refund or a replacement, and in many cases we settle it from the photo and you keep the item.

If it never arrives. If your parcel has not reached you 60 days after it shipped, we refund your order in full.
