One word takes half the sign.

MAGIC runs across the middle in enormous letters, each one drawn with split serifs and shaded silver into copper so the light catches down the left side of every stroke. Beneath it, in smaller copper capitals, sits AWAITS, then BEYOND THESE DOORS along the bottom line between two flourishes.

Above the big word is a dark circle with a pointed hat inside it, with thin scrollwork, tiny stars and a scatter of small shapes running out to both sides. A broom and a cauldron sit either side of AWAITS, small enough to miss on the first pass. The plate is charcoal, framed by a broad band of printed rust that runs unbroken around all four edges and darkens toward the corners.
