A harvest goddess enthroned between owl, bird and fox

A woman with long wavy auburn hair sits on a carved wooden throne in a deep burgundy velvet gown with gold embroidered trim, an olive-green cloak over her shoulders and a crown of small red and cream blooms. Behind her head one disc splits down the middle: a golden rayed sun with a face on the left, a crescent moon with a face on a starry night sky on the right. A barn owl with a white heart-shaped face perches on one arm of the throne, a large black bird on the other, and a red fox sits at her feet. A gold pentacle holds her waist sash.

The bottom third is a harvest still life: a wicker basket of red apples, green and dark purple grapes, orange and green pumpkins, pine cones and red fly agaric mushrooms spotted with white. Red and orange maple leaves fall across her skirt, oak leaves and vines are carved into the throne panels, and a bare autumn forest stands behind. The palette holds to burgundy, antique gold, olive-moss green and burnt orange.
