Rays fan up from the middle of this one, each spike tipped with a small black stone, and at the base of them sits a black marquise stone ringed with narrow petals. Below that the frame turns to heavy scrollwork, curls and leaves in a silver-toned finish with a brushed, slightly aged surface, ending in tiny clustered flowers at both sides. A row of flat black rounds runs along the arch of the band like a beaded trim.

The two tones do the work here: pale metal against matte black glass, closer to old ironwork than to bridal sparkle. It suits a Mabon feast, a coven photo, a stage costume, or a birthday gift for the friend whose whole wardrobe is black. Both ends of the band finish in small open loops for bobby pins.
