Everything here is engraved black line on white except the roses. A witch in a tall pointed hat wreathed with purple blooms stands centre, her black hair falling in dense hatched strands and one hand raised with a beaded bracelet at the wrist. A white skull rests at the lower left beside a pale jack-o'-lantern, ravens cross a big grey moon behind her shoulder, and more purple roses open at the foot. The pillowcases carry hats, bats and roses in the same restrained palette, drawn at the same weight of line.

The most restrained set of the batch, close to an old book plate, so it sits happily in a room with white walls and secondhand furniture. It never really looks like a holiday decoration. Safe gift for a reader who keeps tarot cards on the nightstand.
