Gold scrollwork runs around all four edges of the artwork, and faceted amethyst points grow up from the bottom corners in violet and deep purple. Fine chains and jewel drops hang from the top border. The ground is a dark starfield, closer to aubergine than black, with small stars scattered around the wingtips.
