Gothic Dark Style Bat Wing & Skull Relief Decorative Frame For Witchy Halloween Wall Decoration

The medallion grew wings.

At the centre, a skull in deep relief, tipped slightly forward, set into a dished oval with a beaded rim. Behind it a pair of bat wings opens wide, membranes ribbed between the finger bones, the top edge of each wing rising into a curled claw. Above the oval sits a fleur-shaped crest; below, the whole thing draws down to one long spiked point.

The skull is the highest part of the casting and the wings step back behind it, so from an angle the piece is genuinely layered rather than flat. One matte black over all of it, with a fine ridged texture that takes raking light from a lamp or candle.

It has the shape of a heraldic crest, which makes it a good single piece over a door, a desk or the head of a bed. On a Samhain mantel it holds the middle spot without needing anything else around it.
