A black cat sits behind a cracked grey skull, ears lined in red, eyes a hot amber. Red light sits deep in the skull's sockets, red roses bank up around its base, and dripping candles burn on either side of the dial. A pale full moon rises behind the cat, with bare branches and cracked stone filling the corners.

The hour marks run around the rim in a white outline with a dot and dash track between them; one mark near the top of the ring is printed as a pair of solid bars instead of matching its neighbours. White hands and a red second hand cross the middle, and the whole picture is flat print on a wooden face.

Made for October, but dark enough to leave up. It suits a hallway or a den, and it is an obvious gift for the friend whose house is already half graveyard.
