The creature at the center is more gargoyle than bat: a small horned head, pale bright eyes, a segmented armored chest, and two membrane wings thrown wide to the edges of the panel. The wings are dark iron with copper along the bone lines, the leather between them thin enough to look worn through in places.

What sells it is the ground. The plate behind is corroded across the whole surface, grey steel breaking into orange and gold rust patches, with scrollwork along the top edge and gargoyle faces at the corners where the metal is still intact. Four screw holes sit at the corners. The rust, the depth and the pitting are printed onto a flat aluminium panel, so nothing is rough to the touch.

It hangs landscape and it is loud, so give it a wall of its own: a garage, a game room, over a doorway. An easy Halloween gift for someone whose taste runs to armor and demons rather than pumpkins and cats.
