Five witches walk away from you down a corridor of trees, hands linked, hats tilted at different angles. Grey cloak, then orange, then a wide brown hat over amber skirts, then green, then deep red at the end of the line. Their gowns fall in long ruffled folds that catch the light on the way down.
Above them the canopy turns burnt orange and gold, opening into a green tunnel that glows white at the far end. Two grey birds sit on the twisted boughs, an orange butterfly cuts across the gap, and small pumpkins hang among the leaves. Red-capped mushrooms and gourds crowd the ground right up to the rim of the disc. The deep layered look is printed, so the panel stays smooth to the touch.
Put it by the door through October, or over the hall table where the seasonal things live. Autumn holds it together more than Halloween does, so it can stay up from Mabon to the first frost. Pre-drilled holes, and light enough for a single hook.
