A witch walks left to right across the panel, sweeping her besom ahead of her. Her dress is black and textured, her wide hat sits low, and pale wavy hair falls past her shoulder. A grey full moon hangs just behind her, cratered and cold, with five bats scattering across the clouds.

The rest is sepia: cream sky, smoked brown edges, one big bare tree on the left and a spidery hedge on the right. Dry gold leaves fall through the air and settle along the bottom edge, the only warm colour in it. The aged, weathered look comes from the print, not from any actual distressing of the metal.
