Knees up, boots buckled.
She sits low with her knees drawn to her chest, arms wrapped around them, in fitted leather trousers and tall buckled boots. A wide hat tips forward over her face and her hair spills down the right side of the circle almost to the hem of the disc. Stacked bangles ride up one forearm.
Everything is worked in the same pewter and antique gold, from the beaded strand at her neck to the flower on the plinth she is sitting on. A butterfly rests near her shoulder. The border is a ring of curling vines and open blooms, and the ground behind is cracked, weathered stone. Mounting holes are punched through the rim, top and bottom.
Quiet, monochrome and not seasonal at all, so it suits a bedroom wall, a dressing table or a hallway that never gets decorated. A fair gift for someone who likes their witchcraft closer to leather and stone than to pumpkins. Small enough to sit on a shelf easel if wall space is short.
