A kitten, and a very large book.

A very small black kitten sits upright with an enormous grimoire open at its feet. The pages throw gold light straight up, catching the fluff on its chest and the tips of its ears, and gold sparks drift out across the whole scene like fireflies. The eyes are round and yellow, the ruff untidy, the tail lifted and bushy.

Behind it the wood is a soft mossy green fading to shadow. Green ivy leaves bank up around the book, and the wide outer ring carries gold knotwork and rows of small symbols on deep aubergine. Nothing here is cut or moulded: the raised rim, the ribbed spine of the book and the metallic gleam of the runes are all printed onto one flat disc.
