A white wolf faces straight out of the disc, green eyes level, fur drawn in fine pale strokes with blue-grey washed into the shadows. Sprigs of green clover lie across its brow and cheek and cluster thickly at the edges, where a few small white flowers open among them. The background is dark teal. The border is woven cord, three strands twisting over and under each other the whole way around in the old Celtic manner.
The knotwork looks carved and the fur looks raised, but both are printed onto a flat panel - the disc is one smooth surface end to end. Run a hand over it and there is no ridge anywhere.
A fit for Imbolc and the green half of the year, and for anyone who marks the first of the spring feasts. Hangs on a hallway wall, a covered porch, or a door with a plain wreath hanger. Suits someone drawn to Celtic pattern as much as to the animal in the middle of it.
