An oval pendant with Nyx standing full length inside it. She wears a long draped gown, hair pouring past her waist, one arm lifted with a small round orb balanced on her fingertips and the other hand closed around a tall staff tipped with a crescent. The ground behind her is pricked all over with tiny stars and darkened, so the figure reads pale against the night.
The back is worked too, not left blank: S925 stamped at the top, a triangle holding a dark inlay and a few raised dots, two crescents curving out on either side, and NYX in block capitals underneath.
Nyx is the Greek goddess of night, mother of sleep and the stars. An easy pick for anyone whose practice starts after dark, and a good Samhain or birthday gift for the friend who checks the moon phase before the clock.
Material: 925 sterling silver, stamped S925 on the reverse, oxidised for contrast
Sizes: pendant on its own, or with an 18-inch or 20-inch chain
Care: take it off before showering or swimming, wipe with a soft dry cloth, store it somewhere dry
