Eight moon phases run in an arc across the top of a dark violet disc, the full moon largest at the center, icicles hanging from each one. Under them, in gold, a Blessed Yule greeting and a short verse about the moon renewing itself and the light being reborn in the dark.

The lower half is a working altar: a cauldron with a pentacle on it steaming over the middle, an open book with handwriting across both pages, a clear quartz point, and glass bottles labeled Moon Water and Dragon's Blood. Tall dripping candles in red, green and cream stand inside a thick holly border.

The altar detail rewards a close look, so hang it low on the tree or off a cupboard knob rather than up near the star. It suits the friend who keeps a moon journal, and it stays out past the Solstice without looking stranded.
