A black raven sits square in the middle with a red hat pulled down over the back of its head, the white pompom hanging past one shoulder. The plumage is heavy grey-black, the eye red-brown, the beak long and slate coloured.
A snow-laden fir stands at the left hung with red baubles, and wrapped presents in red and white sit in the drift below with gold beads scattered between them. Snow falls across a near-black sky full of bare branches. All of it is styled to look like moulded plaster relief, but the disc itself is a flat printed panel with a rusted-looking rim. The bird takes up the middle third and everything else is arranged around him, which keeps it legible from the far end of a hallway.
It suits a front door through December, or a kitchen wall above the coffee tins. The red and green carry the season while the bird keeps it from turning sweet. A safe pick for the person whose tree is black and whose ornaments are mostly bone.

SYMBOLIC MEANING
Why This Piece Feels Meaningful.
Raven and Crow imagery gives the design its main character through themes of intelligence, observation and mystery. Supporting details deepen the dark symbolic atmosphere without replacing that central motif.
