A witch sits cross-legged at the centre of the disc, hands resting easy on her knees, eyes closed. Her hair falls in thick ropes of teal, green and violet from under a pointed hat covered in stars, and her gown is purple with a beaded panel of dots and paisley over the skirt. A black cat sits close on her left, a straw besom lies across her right, and a small cauldron burns below her.

Behind her a white sunburst mandala opens out in gold linework, ringed by a night sky of magenta, cyan and indigo with constellations joined by thin gold lines. The colours are pushed as far as they go. It is a flat printed panel: the beadwork and mandala carving are artwork only.

It earns its place in a yoga room, a meditation corner, or above the mat where the incense lives. The colour is strong enough to carry a plain white wall on its own. Suited to a friend who ties her practice and her craft together, and who owns more crystals than shelf space.
