Three witches stand around a gold cauldron sprouting a cluster of glowing purple crystal points. The blonde witch on the left wears a purple robe printed with gold stars and a flower crown, the dark-haired witch in the centre keeps her eyes closed under a gold crescent headpiece, and the red-haired witch on the right wears a star-patterned robe. All six hands are held out over the crystals. Behind them a full moon hangs over a still lake, with four smaller moon phases beside it and pines along the far shore.

A gold gothic arch on twin ornate columns frames the whole scene, with eight-pointed gold stars hanging from it on strings and two large black birds in flight at the top corners. The altar front carries a gold triple moon with a rayed sun disc set in its circle. Lavender stands in two gold urns, ivy trails over the stone, white candles and stacked old books sit at the base, and a black cat looks up from the lower right. The ground stays deep purple and midnight navy, which lets the gold work read from across a room.
