Black trees, one gold clearing.

The forest is built in ranks, each row of trees a flatter black than the one behind it, so the eye reads depth from the outer rim inward. In the middle sits a glowing gold moon, and against it the witch stands in profile — pointed hat, cloak lifting, walking left to right through the mist.

Ravens fill the space between the trunks, and small gold stars are scattered across the black. Only two values are in play: dense black and warm gold, with mist softening the gap between them. The layered shadowbox effect is printed onto one flat panel rather than cut and stacked, and the mist is the only soft edge in the entire composition.

Best in a spot with a light wall behind it, since the piece is almost entirely black. Good on a bedroom door, a stairwell, or a porch through Samhain. The paper-cut look reads quiet and graphic rather than gory, which makes it an easy one to give.
