The old silhouette: a hunched witch in a long cloak and a crooked hat, standing on a rooftop ledge with her back mostly to you. A single candle burns beside her boot, and three carved pumpkins grin from the ledge and the roof below. Bats pour across the sky, a dozen at least, some large and close in, some small and far off against the cloud. A white full moon sits dead center behind her hat. Gothic turrets rise on the right, bare black trees on the left.
The whole disc has the mottled look of old tarnished tin, and the rippled, dented edge is part of the artwork rather than damage. It is printed flat.
A straightforward front-door sign for October, and it hangs just as well on a garden gate or a porch post. This is the storybook witch rather than a glamorous one, so it suits a house that runs a fog machine and hands out the full-size candy bars.
