A raven stands in profile on a small rosette boss, filling the right half of the panel, its long tail dropping toward the lower edge. The head is turned so the heavy grey beak and one pale eye catch the light, and the wing feathers are laid in tight overlapping rows.
Behind it the field is mottled stone, stained and blotched like an old wall. The border is a wide ring of gothic tracery, quatrefoils and knotwork, with a small row of icicle spikes hanging at the top. The whole thing sits in charcoal, gunmetal and slate with no other colour at all. A hole is punched at the base of the rim.
It reads as architectural rather than seasonal, so it holds a wall all year, particularly on plaster, stone or dark paint. Ravens carry a long association with the Morrigan and with omen work. Good for someone who keeps corvid feathers on their altar and does not want anything cute.
