A witch sits low on wet sand with her legs folded to one side and one hand raised to her chin. Her robe is deep green and heavily creased, and her black hair falls past the elbow. The wide hat carries a band of pale beads. Two clear tears run down her cheek, and a drop earring catches the light. Behind her a teal sea breaks into white foam, cloud banks roll across the sky, and a small pale moon sits high on the right.
The scene is printed to look like carved and patinated relief, with the shade in the fabric folds painted on. The panel is flat and smooth.
