A crescent takes the left half of the disc, and set into it is a woman's profile — lowered brow, hair spilling back into scrollwork and small stars. The horn of the crescent is packed with filigree, tiny suns and a single blossom. On the right a sun with a calm face turns toward her, rays alternating long and short around a beaded circle. Between them the ground is close to black, scattered with five-pointed stars. Two doves fly in at the lower corners, and a beaded rim runs the whole way around.
All of it is printed to look like antique cast brass — highlight on the raised curls, shadow pooled behind them. The panel is flat.
Works over an altar where both solstices get marked, or in a window that catches morning light on the gold. This pairing is the oldest shorthand in the craft for balance, which makes it a safe gift when you know someone practices but not which tradition they follow.
