The priestess keeps watch on the longest night, waiting for the sun to be born again.
At the winter solstice the old year dies and the light returns, a turning honored long before any church. The moon phases stand for the cycle she serves, and the star at the center is the promise of the reborn sun.
For the moon priestess and the solstice keeper, worn at Yule, on a winter full moon or at a candlelit vigil as a pagan dress for the turning of the year.
