The whole panel is made to look like a page out of an old book: foxed brown paper, blotched and uneven, with the edges darkening. A gold pentagram sits on a carved medallion in the centre, and two pale stone crescents flank it. Engraved oak leaves and vines run behind the three shapes in fine sepia line work.

Alchemical and planetary marks are scattered through the margins, with small pentacles at the corners and a Celtic knot at the heart of the star. A ribbon banner crosses the bottom carrying the line: As above, so below. Only two tones do the work here, parchment brown and old gold.

The most restrained design of the set, and the easiest to place in a room that is all wood, leather and books rather than black paint. Suits a study or library corner, and makes sense as a gift for someone who reads far more than they decorate.
