Mystical Nocturnal Bat Metal Sign Halloween Gothic Wall Sign

The bat is caught wings-open across the middle of the disc, small face forward, ears up, the membrane of each wing shading from deep red at the outer edge through orange to yellow at the body and veined in dark lines. It hangs in the mouth of a forest tunnel, trees arching in from both sides, the light going teal-green where the path disappears.

Below, the ground is worked in bands of jade and moss. The frame is heavy copper set with red, orange, green and blue panes, with a crest at the top and another at the base. It has the look of a leaded window off an old stairwell, but there is no glass in it at all: every pane, seam and highlight is printed onto flat aluminium.

Hang it at a window, on a covered porch, or beside a front door where the colours carry. It is dark enough for Samhain and bright enough to leave up afterwards. A good gift for someone who counts the bats out at dusk all summer.
