Painted like spilled ink.

A witch in profile under a huge soft-brimmed hat, hair falling in long pale-gold waves down the front of the disc. Everything around her is poured colour - violet, teal, orange, deep red - marbled and veined with thin white and black lines that run like ink dropped into water. The hat takes the same treatment, patterned rather than plain. Only the face is painted straight: brow, lashes, mouth, nothing more. Nothing in the background settles into an object.

Loose and abstract where the rest of the range is literal, and the closest thing here to a piece of modern art. The marbling and the fine white threads are printed onto a flat panel.

Works in a room that already has colour, and beside canvases rather than in a Halloween group. It stays up all year without reading as seasonal.
