A crescent moon takes the left side of the disc, carrying a woman's face in profile — cream skin, closed lids, a gold-lit mouth. Her hair turns into a bank of large daisies, cream petals with gold centres, spilling around the outer edge and gathering again at the bottom. Inside the curve of the crescent sits a small seascape: grey cloud, dark rock stacks, a low sun on the water and a gold crescent hung in the sky above it.
The flowers and the face are printed to look like carved and gilded relief, with all the shading painted in. The panel is one flat, smooth sheet.
Better suited to a bedroom or a bathroom than a front door — the palette is soft gold and grey and it sits quietly next to plants. A good gift for someone who tracks the moon, or who simply wanted moon art that does not look like Halloween. The daisies keep it warm enough to leave up through spring.
