Gothic Witchy Quilt Bedding Set for Valentine

Bare branches knot into a heart.

Black branches twist together into a heart that takes up most of the quilt, thorny and uneven, with black paint running down from it in long drips. Inside the heart, white brush lettering reads BE CREEPY WITH ME, the strokes torn at the ends, with a few small red hearts falling loose around them. Two deep red roses sit on the branches, one high right, one lower left. Behind it all a watercolour wash goes from pale grey through dusty pink to heavy crimson at the foot, more bare trees showing through. The pillowcases carry the heart alone.

A Valentine set for people who do not do pink hearts. It suits a couple's room in February, though the palette is dark enough to leave up afterwards, and it lands well as an anniversary present for the partner who suggested the cemetery walk in the first place.
