Cut to the outline of the scene, with no frame at all. A witch rides side-on with her back to you, seen from behind: black pointed hat crumpled at the tip, copper hair down her spine, a red-and-black striped sleeve reaching forward to hold the broom handle. Her skirt opens out into a wide fan of panes in rust, plum, olive and deep red, and the broom's bristles flare bright orange at the back.
A black cat sits upright behind her on the same broom, yellow eyes forward, tail curled into a question mark. It is the only solid black shape in the piece, so your eye goes there first.
The shape is what makes it. Against a bright pane the skirt lights up like a leaf held to the sun. Hang it in a stairwell window or over the sink for Samhain, or give it to the friend who always says her cat is the one in charge. One size, hung from a pair of dark cords.
