There is a spider up there.
A raven takes up most of the circle, feathers cut into panes of blue, violet and black, one red-brown eye fixed on nothing in particular. He grips a branch, and below his feet a jack-o'-lantern sits in amber and orange with a triangle-eyed grin. Behind them the sky breaks into hundreds of small panes, gold at the centre and rust at the edges, with autumn leaves packed into the gaps.
His tail runs down and off to the right, crossing three or four panes on the way. Top right, on a thin web strung between two branches, there is a spider the size of a fingernail. Most people miss it the first time.
Best in a window that catches morning light, where the amber panes go bright and the raven stays solid black. It carries a porch or a kitchen window from the first cool week straight through Samhain, and packs flat enough to post to a friend.
