Gothic Carved Wall Shelf For Dark Style Home Wall Storage & Witchy Halloween Decoration

Somewhere to put three things.

A corbel bracket with a shelf on top, borrowed from the sort of console that sits under a mantel. The bracket narrows to a point at the bottom and is worked all over in acanthus: a fan of leaves opening at the centre, volutes rolling outward at the upper corners, leaf tips curling away from the edges so the outline is never straight.

The shelf itself is a plain moulded slab with cut-back ends, wide enough for a candle and a couple of small figures. Matte black throughout, with fine tooling lines across the leaves. Against a pale wall it reads as one solid silhouette; by candlelight the leafwork breaks up into shadow.

Hang it beside a bed for a candle and a ring dish, or use it as a standing altar where there is no table to spare. A useful gift for someone in a rented room who cannot fit more furniture in.
