A bat hangs dead center with its wings stretched the full width of the panel, membranes in deep blue shading to teal, every finger bone drawn as a dark rib across the color. The body is small and furry, warm brown, ears up, two round eyes catching the light. Behind it sits an arched window worked in green, gold and turquoise panes, with a red-orange glow burning through the lower half like late sun.

The whole scene is framed in an aged gold border with heavy scrollwork at the corners and a row of small square panes running down each side. It reads as a chapel window someone let a bat into. The colored panes, the dividing lines between them and the shadow under the wings are all part of the printed artwork.

Hang it landscape over a doorway or in a stairwell where a window would go, and it holds up long past Halloween. Good for someone who likes their bats decorative rather than gruesome.
