A witch stands in profile with her back half turned, hair streaming out in long carved-looking strands, hat brim wide and slightly bent. The sky behind is a flat amber wash; a thin crescent hangs at the top right with bats crossing beneath it. On the right a church-like castle with two steeples sits in fog above a stand of pines. Gold treetops and foliage crowd the bottom left corner, and the rim is torn and irregular rather than a clean circle.

Black, gold and one flat amber - a small palette used well. The chipped edges, the strand-by-strand hair and the raised trees are all printed onto a flat panel. Held at an angle it is plainly one smooth surface.
