A black raven stands in profile on a bare branch, head turned to the right, the feathers on his back and wing painted with a faint blue sheen. Behind him is a church window drawn in stained-glass style: an arched grid of amber and cream panes at the centre, turning to bright turquoise and cobalt at the edges, each shard outlined in dark line work.

Winter foliage crosses the frame from both sides. Sprays of red berries hang top left, holly leaves and a full red poinsettia sit lower right, and a single berry rests at the very bottom of the arch.

The red keeps it firmly in the season, so it sits happily on a traditional tree while still being a crow. Hang it where a lamp or a window can come through the glass. Sensible pick for a corvid person, or for a group gift swap where nobody wants another snowman.
