A bearded sun face in beaten gold takes the left half, rays twisting outward like flame, a pentacle set into the crown above his forehead. Pressed close beside him, a crescent moon carries a woman's face in silver blue, eyes closed, fine filigree scrolling across her temple and hairline. The two overlap so their cheeks meet in the middle of the panel.

Behind them the sky runs rust and amber with small gold stars scattered through it, and the whole scene is held inside a knotwork border with medallions at the corners. Gold lettering along the bottom reads: Turn your face to the Sun, and shadows fall behind you.
