The bow of the key is Hecate's wheel: a pentagram at the centre, wrapped in the looping maze lines of the strophalos, ringed by a beaded border with a serpent coiled along the top edge, head resting near the bail. Two crescent moons grow out of either side of that wheel, horns pointing outward, each filled with Celtic knotwork, so the three shapes together make a triple moon. The shaft below is engraved with running spirals and finishes in a small fleur de lis bit, and the whole thing is oxidised so every line holds shadow.
Long and narrow, it hangs lower than a round pendant and works well over a high collar or a heavy knit. Fitting for crossroads work, dark moon rites, or a gift to someone who already keeps a key on their altar. The 24 inch box chain is the one that lets the shape hang properly.
