A round disc cut right through, so the design reads as a wreath rather than a solid coin. Persephone sits at the centre in a crown of open roses, hair falling either side of her face, one hand raised with a pomegranate held in it. Vines climb both edges and meet overhead, where a small bird crosses the gap with a sprig in its beak.

Blossoms open along the rim, and down at the base, half tucked behind flowers, sit two small skulls. That is the underworld half of her story, kept quiet under the spring half.
